Coexist
Mizuo's canvases are divided into four series. Four forces that do not oppose each other, but coexist.
These paintings

are not thoughts
to be only

looked at,
They are made
to be

felt.
Allowing opposites to coexist
Epoxy is not just a simple medium.
It is a living substance. It is born from two components that are completely opposed.
Matter is transformed.
It resists, freezes, hardens.
It takes its final form.
They react, produce heat, become fluid. They move, extend, allow themselves to be guided by gravity, by tools, by my gestures.

Each painting is an attempt at balance. A constant dialogue between control and letting go.
I am not looking for perfection, nor repetition.
I am searching for the rightness of a moment. The precise point where emotion can be expressed without erasing the structure, where rigor agrees to give way a little.
